The LTRG is now recruiting for two part time paid positions to be employees of the California-Nevada Conference of the United Methodist. Both jobs would average about 20 hours per week for what is anticipated to be a two year project.   1. Volunteer Team Coordinator

This person will coordinate the activities involved in the recruiting, assigning and hosting of volunteer teams and individuals who come to Weed to participate in rebuilding of homes and property destroyed by the Boles Fire. Responsible to the Weed Long Term Recovery Group officers and committee chairs, the City of Weed, and other organizations to assure the efficient use of available resources.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in organization and oral and written communications; ability to respond quickly to a changing environment and is a motivated self-starter with flexible work schedule. Experience in event planning, people and materials management and personal communications is a plus.

  1. Construction Coordinator

This person will coordinate the activities involved in the rebuilding of homes and property destroyed by the Boles Fire. In partnership with the WLTRG Volunteer Team Coordinator, will work with the Weed Long Term Recovery Group officers and committee chairs, the City of Weed, and other organizations to assure the efficient use of available resources.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in construction, building planning and contracting. Ability to work on a variety of projects at once and demonstrated skills in communication are required.
