2nd Round of Boles Fire Immediate Needs Program Funding Now Available
posted about 5 years ago by GreatNorthern from Great Northern Services
In response to the terrible devastation caused by the Boles Fire in Weed and the generosity of Pacific Power Foundation, Great Northern is managing an immediate needs program to help those whose homes were severely impacted. Funding is made possible through the Community Disaster Relief Fund of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation. Assistance will be made available on a first come, first served basis until funding is exhausted. If you have not yet registered with case management at the Family and Community Resource Center of Weed at 260 Main Street, please do so. Their hours are Mon – Thurs from 9 AM – 4 PM and their phone number is 938-9914.
Only one unit of assistance will be allowed per household. All applications will be checked for accuracy and truthfulness.
Applications are available at Great Northern Services 310 Boles Street on Mon – Thurs from 9 AM – 4 PM or you may download one on the home page at http://www.gnservices.org
First round funding was distributed quickly, we anticipate a similar response to this second and last round for this program.
Applicants may choose ONE form of financial assistance: Rent/Mortgage, Utilities, or Gift Cards. Participants will not receive the funds directly; up to $500 will be paid on their behalf or given in the form of a vendor specific gift card.
Completed applications may be mailed or hand delivered to the address below on Mon-Thurs between 9 am - 4 pm:
Great Northern Services Att: Boles Fire Immediate Needs 310 Boles Street Weed, CA 96094
